Terms of Service

Can-U is a limited pilot for family coordination. It can help a household organize submitted information into a family calendar and explicit responsibilities, and it can support coordinator-approved SMS Asks to helpers. Can-U is not generally launched and is not an emergency, medical, legal, childcare-screening, or safety-monitoring service.

Automated interpretation can be incomplete or wrong. Coordinators must review important dates, instructions, people, and message content before relying on them.

The pilot may change, pause, or end. Features can be unavailable because of maintenance, provider interruptions, carrier filtering, or technical failure. Can-U does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where practical, Can-U will preserve a truthful visible state rather than guessing whether a message was sent, delivered, read, or accepted.

Coordinators must provide accurate account information, protect access to their email and session, use Can-U only for lawful family coordination, and avoid submitting unnecessary or unlawfully obtained information.

A coordinator may add information about household members and helpers only when authorized to do so. Before approving an SMS Ask, the coordinator must confirm that the intended recipient has agreed to receive Can-U texts. Coordinators must review the exact recipient and message before every initial Ask.

Do not use Can-U to harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate, send marketing, distribute unlawful content, contact people without permission, probe another household, disrupt the service, or bypass access controls. Do not use the service for urgent or emergency communication.

Program: Can-U Family Coordination SMS, operated by Inderjit Singh Grewal under the Can-U name.

Message purpose: transactional family-coordination Asks approved by a household coordinator, plus replies and necessary updates about the same coordination.

Frequency: message frequency varies based on a household's coordination activity. Can-U does not send recurring marketing messages.

Rates: message and data rates may apply.

Opt-out: text STOP at any time to stop messages from the Can-U number. Text START or UNSTOP to opt back in where supported. A recipient's opt-out may prevent delivery of later Asks.

Consent: SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of using Can-U's non-SMS family-coordination features or any unrelated service. Consent applies only to the Can-U family-coordination program and may be withdrawn.

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not evidence that a recipient agreed to a responsibility.

Can-U depends on providers such as Supabase, OpenAI, Twilio, Resend, Lovable, and internet or mobile carriers. Their systems and terms may affect the service. Can-U remains responsible for its own commitments in these terms but cannot control a provider or carrier outage.

Can-U is provided for evaluation during a pilot, on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Can-U disclaims implied warranties that cannot reasonably apply to a pilot service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not permit Can-U to exclude.

To the extent permitted by law, Can-U will not be responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from missed schedules, delayed messages, inaccurate submitted information, or reliance on automated interpretation. Coordinators remain responsible for verifying important family arrangements through an appropriate channel.

Can-U may suspend access to protect a person, another household, the service, or its providers, or when these terms are materially violated. A coordinator can stop using the pilot and request account or household deletion, subject to the retention limits in the Privacy Policy. SMS recipients can end texts at any time by texting STOP.
